BC Schizophrenia Society Provincial                           Annual General Meeting and Panel Discussion:

Tipping the Scales:
Mental Illness & The Criminal Justice System

On September 23, immediately after the Annual General Meeting, BCSS will be hosting a panel discussion on the impacts of untreated mental illness on the criminal justice system, “Tipping the Scales: Mental Illness & The Criminal Justice System.” Featuring a panel of experts including representatives from the Vancouver Police Department and the Forensic Psychiatric Unit, the discussion will explore the impacts of mental illness on the criminal justice system and how family members can work with police and other professionals to keep their loved one safe.
